Our Gyokuro green tea and alfalfa leaf blend herbal infusion tea bags are made using the finest quality raw ingredients, which are sealed inside bleach-free filter paper to create a truly 100% natural infusion. They are made to order and presented in environmentally friendly, black Kraft paper packaging, which is heat sealed and comes complete with a 'tin tie' to help seal in their freshness. Our Gyokuro originates from the Shizuoka Prefecture in Japan, and is considered to be one of, if not the best, Japanese green tea. Differing from the traditional Sencha, Gyokuro is temporarily grown under the shade rather than the full sunlight using black curtains or bamboo and straw. The process of shielding it from the sun helps to increase the presence of amino acids and reduce the tannin content, resulting in a deliciously sweet green tea flavour with very little astringency and no bitterness. Brewing Suggestions: Use 1 tea bag per cup and infuse for 3 - 5 minutes, or to individual taste, using boiled water allowed to cool.
